Back to Desi Wok in Broken Arrow
With a wide variety of Asian Cuisines you can't go wrong with Desi Wok.
Desi Wok is an Indonesian style restaurant this is located between Sheridan and Yale off of 41 in Tulsa and on 71st and Aspen in Broken Arrow. I have been many times and have had different items each time.
Appetizers are a great way to start any meal I have only tried their hummus and the Samosas both are good though my favorite of the two being the hummus.
With entrees ranging from Indian dishes like the Curry to Asian (Read Chinese) dishes like Sweet and Sour it can be hard to pick, among my favorites are their Seekh Kebabs and Curry.
Desi Wok’s Seekh Kebabs are unique because of their use of Minced lamb. The sinced lamb is marinated in spices then cooked on skewers in their tandoor oven. The dish is served with Desi Wok’s freshly made naan, veggies, and tikka masala sauce. Desi Wok’s Seekh Kebabs taste fresh, though I would not say they taste “traditional.”
I love the mild curry so much I haven’t tried anything else since. While any of their meats are delicious the lamb is the best of the bunch. The Lamb Curry is made with large chucks of lamb meat, onion, peppers, and a wonderful curry sauce served with naan and cumin rice. The lamb is so tender and soaks up so much of the flavor of the curry it is to die for.
One of the things I like about Desi Wok is that you have a choice of the kind of meat that your dish is made with and if you don’t want meant you can have veggies or tofu. They make cumin rice for their rice which is long grain thin rice. They have Naan which is Indian flat bread. With all that verity and choice it is very reasonably priced with the most expensive meat being lamb at $8.95.
Overall their food is great. Reasonable priced it’s a great place to dine in or out. Whichever you try it’s great food.
