Area Fireworks Shows this Independence Day Weekend

Tulsa is lucky to have no less then eighth Fireworks shows this weekend so why not get out, support some local businesses and watch one of these great shows…



The earliest show is Friday July 2nd, 2010 at the Owasso High school Football stadium. Gates will open at 7:00 PM and the fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9:45 PM. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Tulsa Drillers have two Independence Day fireworks shows lined up, the first on Friday July 2nd, 2010 and the second on July 4th, 2010. Both are scheduled at the completion of the game.

Skiatook’s fireworks show is set for July 3 at the city’s airport and is scheduled to begin at 9:30 PM and anyone is invited to view the free show.

Sapulpa, Oklahoma’s 14th annual “American Celebrates America” takes place Sunday, July 4, 2010. The theme this year is “Let Freedom Ring.” Festivities begin at 7 p.m., and the fireworks show starts at approximately 9:45 p.m. The show is launched from the Sapulpa Municipal Golf Course. Viewing and parking are available in the Sapulpa Wal-Mart parking lot and the grassy fields east of and behind Wal-Mart. The show can also be viewed from Westside Baptist Church.

6th Annul Rockets Over RHEMA hosted on the beautiful, 110-acre RHEMA campus (1025 W. Kenosha St., in Broken Arrow) on Sunday July 4th 2010. Festivities start at 5 PM and the fireworks show will start at 10 PM.

Jenks and Riverfront South will be holding day long Independence Day celebration. Jenks America Independence Day Celebration will be launched from the Jenks Pedestrian Bridge. At 9:25 p.m., Casey Preslar, Miss Oklahoma 2002, will be performing the National Anthem with her two sisters, Amanda Preslar and Shelly Preslar with fireworks shortly after. Because the fireworks will be launched from the Pedestrian Bridge, both that bridge and the 96th Street Bridge will be closed from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Alternate routes for those traveling in or around Jenks include the Creek Turnpike and the 71st Street Bridge.

Tulsa’s Freedom Fest 2010 events start at 5 PM on July 4th 2010 and fireworks are set to begin at 9:30 PM. FreedonFest will feature three entertainment locations along the river, River West Festival Park - 2100 South Jackson Avenue, Veterans Park - 1875 S. Boulder Avenue, and Elwood's Cafe - 1924 South Riverside Drive.

Residents of Sand Springs your Annual fireworks show has been canceled for 2010 because of a road widening projects but will resume next year so feel free to visit any of these other free shows.
